Interstitial space is a discrete zone that exist between two structures. Its function is not that of a transition phase nor is it defined by the characteristics of its neighboring regions. It is an area that is complete and useful on its own terms.  My interest is in the energy inherent in this territory and how once depicted might become a place for reflection on purpose and identity.
